SANDVIKEN, Sweden, Oct 1, 2020 – Sandvik Coromant is upgrading its range of turning inserts for machining ISO-P steels. The tooling specialist has launched two new carbide grades that are designed for external and internal machining of low-alloyed and unalloyed steels.

Continuous improvement over a period of 45 years has evolved it into the high performing steel grade it is today. The composition is tighter, the purity level is much higher and the fine carbide microstructure of today is far from how Stainless steels, special alloys and titanium. Our wide range of tubular products in corrosion-resistant alloys contributes to more efficient and reliable industrial processes. We also provide other products, such as bar, strip and powder, used for the manufacturing of equipment and components. Sandvik knife steels are characterized by fine microstructure and chemical composition within close tolerances. This results in excellent blanking and hardening properties, which facilitates trouble-free blade production and a high-quality end product.
